Whilst Changing Key Dorset is a relatively new charity, its origins are in the Richard Ely Trust for Young Musicians (RETYM). This well-established local charity wound down as an organisation after over 20 years of providing financial assistance to young musicians across Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
The RETYM trustees worked in partnership with Dorset Music Hub and the Changing Key Dorset trustees to handover the function of providing financial support to young musicians who face barriers to music education.
Changing Key Dorset continues to support Dorset’s young people to unlock their potential through music, and that we can all enjoy the many benefits and joy of coming together in celebration of their talents.
